Collect

Lord, you have taught us that all our doings without love are nothing worth: send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of love, the true bond of peace and of all virtues, without which whoever lives is counted dead before you. Grant this for your only Son Jesus Christ’s sake, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

Amen.

Post Communion

Loving Father, we thank you for feeding us at the supper of your Son: sustain us with your Spirit, that we may serve you here on earth until our joy is complete in heaven, and we share in the eternal banquet

with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

A Prayer for all Fathers

Heavenly Father,

you entrusted your son Jesus,

the child of Mary,

to the care of Joseph, an earthly father.

Bless all fathers

as they care for their families.

Give them strength and wisdom,

tenderness and patience.

Support them in the work they have to do,

protecting those who look to them,

as we look to you for love and salvation,

through Jesus Christ our rock and defender.

Please pray for:-

- Dorothy, Paula, Pip & Katie, Douglas, Jackie, Philip, Peter, Jason.

- All fathers in the world.

- We pray for Sara Lyford, her daughter and the expected twins.

- 4yr.old Holly who is in the second year of treatment and thankfully can attend school a couple of days each week. She is a very brave and courageous little girl although further treatment continues for some time.

- For the church and people of Greatworth

- For our farming community

- Wendy & Jeremy

- Suzanne & family as they prepare for John’s funeral on Thursday 15th June, 2pm at Banbury Crematorium.

Our churches are always open for private prayer; all are welcome. - (Croughton -by appointment only)

Our Benefice Holy Communion service this coming Sunday is 10.30am at Hinton when Archdeacon Richard Ormston will be present.
