Happy New Year

As we start a New Year it is good to look back and thank God for what has been achieved in 2022 and to seek his guidance in our efforts for 2023

So, in the context of Psalm 127.

Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain.

Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

Please pray for:-

- All those that need our prayers this week

- For all those struggling with health issues, especially those in hospital.

- For all those travelling on our roads over the holidays and pray that you will be kept safe.

- For all those living on our streets that they find a warm place to stay

- For the people of Ukraine

- For all people worldwide who are affected by unrest, by acts of violence, oppression, or poverty. Our churches are always open for private prayer;all are welcome. - (Croughton -by appointment only)

And Finally

Creator God,at the start of this New Year,

When thoughts turn again to beginnings, starting afresh, new leaves and turning skeletons

free from cupboards, be with us as we gaze into the distance of fresh mission grounds, of hopes and dreams, opportunities for service, challenges, and uncertainties. Take our fears and turn them into strengths.

Take our lack of faith and empower us, through the Spirit who breathes life into this world, whose presence is reflected in the icy chill of winter's breath, as well as the comforting warmth of a summer breeze. Walk with us into this New Year of opportunity.
