Almighty Father, whose will is to restore all things in your beloved Son, the King of all: govern the hearts and minds of those in authority, and bring the families of the nations, divided and torn apart by the ravages of sin, to be subject to his just and gentle rule; who is alive and reigns with you,in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Post Communion
God of peace, whose Son Jesus Christ proclaimed the kingdom and restored the broken to wholeness of life: look with compassion on the anguish of the world, and by your healing power make whole both people and nations, through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

- All those known to us who need our loving prayers this week
- For all those struggling with health issues, especially those in hospital.
- For the people of the Indian state of Gujarat since the collapse of a bridge. The death toll continues to rise – currently at 141.
- For the people of Seoul, Korea, since 154 died during the crush on Halloween night.
- For the people of Ukraine
- For all people worldwide who are affected by unrest, by acts of violence, oppression, or poverty, especially as the increased energy prices in the UK take hold.

Astwick Vale Benefice covers five churches, Aynho, Croughton, Evenley, Farthinghoe and Hinton with Steane
The Benefice Holy Communion is at Croughton this coming Sunday, 6th November at 10.30am.
Service will be led by Revd.Terry, & Revd. Hugh & we welcome you all to attend. You will be able keep in touch with people from our neighbouring churches who come together to share prayers and hymns.

Travelling cribs
At the Benefice service on 20th November all the cribs will be blessed in readiness for their journeys around each parish.
At Croughton their travelling crib will be based at the school, after being blessed at church and children are welcome to take it home over night.
Evenley crib will start its annual journey on 1st December and end on 25th December at one of our Christmas services. It comprises of a stable complete with knitted figures from the Christmas story. If you would like to host the crib for a night, please pass your name and contact details to Carrie (01280) 702300 or email - carrieoregan1@btinternet.com by Thursday 24th November. We ask that you pass it on to the next person on the rota.
This is for young, old, with or without children/grandchildren.

The 1st Sunday in Advent is 27th November. If anyone would like an Advent Wreath, made with four candles for you to light; one for each Sunday in Advent, please contact Jane Gibb (01280) 840018–Cost £7.00.
