Almighty God, who through your only begotten Son Jesus Christ have overcome death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: grant that, as by your grace going before us you put into our minds good desires, so by your continual help we may bring them to good effect;through Jesus Christ our risen Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.


Post Communion

Eternal God, whose Son Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life: grant us to walk in his way, to rejoice in his truth, and to share his risen life, who is alive and reigns, now and for ever. Amen.

18th Ascension Day

As per Christian belief, Ascension Day marks day 40 after Jesus Christ's Resurrection — counting Easter Day as day one — and is the day Christ ascended into heaven. This day is very important for Christians, ranking right up there with other Christian festivals like Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost.



The next Benefice Holy Communion service is on 21st May, 10.30 at Evenley

We welcome you all to attend and join in with the celebrations along with friends from our neighbouring churches when we all come together to share hymns & prayers & give thanks for Christ’s ascension to heaven to take his seat at the right hand of God,

RING OUT THE BELLS

FOR

HM KING CHARLES III & QUEEN CAMILLA

On 6th May the church bell ringers will be ringing out joyously in celebration of the Coronation of

HM King Charles III &

Queen Camilla.

The event will start at Kings Sutton - 1.30pm & the ringers will endeavour to ring at Aynho, Croughton & Evenley at 3pm

GOD SAVE THE KING

And finally

A Peal will be rung at Aynho on Monday 8th May in celebration of the Coronation. It will last for 3 hours and is the first time since 12th August 1955. The only time before that was 1901!
